Answers to our most commonly asked questions...
How do I know if I am a good candidate for neurofeedback or neuroperformance training?
Anyone with a brain and the desire to improve is a good candidate! We have worked with 5 year olds up to age 77 and know that brain training can be beneficial for everyone.
How many sessions will I need to see/feel a difference?
We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions (for both neurofeedback or neuroperformance training) to gauge your improved self through this process. If you are seeking results for something more complicated or highly specialized, up to 20 sessions might be necessary or ideal to re-regulate and find optimized performance.
How much will it cost?
For neurofeedback the cost is $100 for a single session and $150 for back-to-back (two family members one after the other). Have more than 2 family members participating? Additional discounts will apply. For neuroperformance training, we start with a 1.5hr intake session which covers client history, gait assessment, and a customized training plan for $150. Follow up sessions are $105 and 1hr in duration or $80 for a 45 min athletic training session. Neurofeedback + neuroperformance training is $125 for a 1hr session. Packages are available for all HIGHQ services and include a discounted per session rate!
Do you offer neuroperformance group athletic training?
Yes! We can do group neuro-based athletic training for ages 10+. These workouts combine mobility drills, functional movement, visual, and balance drills to give you an all encompassing session that will allow participants to learn more about their brains and bodies. Inquire for your team or training group and package discounts are available for groups with 8+ participants.
What age groups most benefit from neurofeedback?
All ages can benefit! The brain is constantly making changes and it's never too early or too late to train your brain. Clients use neurofeedback for brain fitness, peak physical and mental performance, academic performance, overall mental wellness, plus physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges like PTSD, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, stress reduction, and Alzheimer's.
What should I expect for my first neurocentric training session and follow-up sessions?
The following occurs during a client's first training session: health history and intake, discussion of client goals and concerns, gait and posture assessment, mobility and functional movement drills, and core work. You will also receive a detailed customized training plan according to what was learned in the initial session that discusses what your training focus will look based off desired results and outcome.
What kind of equipment do you use when doing athletic training?
Hand weights, barbell, TRX cables, stationary bike, stability ball, medicine ball, & other training equipment are utilized during sessions. Equipment is selected based on the client's needs and goals.
What should I wear and what should I bring for my first session?
For training sessions, wear comfortable, fitted athletic clothing so that proper form can be evaluated. For neurofeedback, anything works! Just be prepared for the five sensors being attached to your scalp and ears with conductive paste at time of hook up, so it might not be the right day for a fresh blowout!
